The First Aluminum Composite All-Weather Cornhole Board Set!
How a discarded idea got revived and thrived!
2020
When the Pandemic hit, Fairview Architectural had plenty of inventory of Vitrabond, it's premium Aluminum Composite Material designed for use on high rise building facades to withstand the most rigorous environments. Fairview recognized that people were going to have a lot of time to spend in the backyard, so went to work developing a cornhole board that could be left outside.
After producing a few prototypes and distributing them to local micro-breweries and distilleries, Fairview decided that trying to peddle Cornhole boards was too far away from their core business of manufacturing raw materials for building facades.
2025
Fast-forward 5 years to 2025, and those prototypes are still going strong, long outlasting regular cornhole boards which typically need to be replaced every season.
At the same time, Fairview his seeing a need in their own market of finding a way to use up the excess inventory that is generated on almost every building project.
Suddenly, the idea that was discarded 5 years previous as a "distraction" becomes a viable solution, and Fairview launches it's Outdoor Living brand!
